Sony Addresses Future of ‘Uncharted’ Video Game Franchise

Just don’t milk it. . .

This August, PlayStation 4 owners will be getting their hands on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. With Nathan Drake’s story ending last year, gamers have been confused whether or not the entire franchise has ended. Well, following their e3 showcase last month, creative director and writer Shaun Escayg spoke with Eurogamer on the future of the series. In regards to the franchise, Shaun said, “To Say the Uncharted world is done… I doubt that highly.” The Lost Legacy will feature returning side characters from the series, but fans should not expect Drake to return in any capacity.

He also went to say, “I wouldn’t say it’s the end. This thieving world is huge. There’s so many characters. Even before we settled on this particular story we were exploring Sullivan, we were exploring Cutter, and pairing each other up, thinking what would be right, what would have conflict, growth, something new, something fresh. And Chloe was the one that kept jumping out.” Let us know in the comments below if you’re okay with the series continuing beyond this summer.
