Here’s how old you have to be for PSVR!
Yesterday, Sony rolled out their latest firmware for PlayStation 4 consoles and soon revealed some interesting news regarding its upcoming virtual reality device. In the 3.50 update, it specifies that “The VR headset is not for use by children under age 12,” which is a similar approach Oculus Rift and Samsung’s Gear VR are both taking for Xbox One consoles, with an age limit of 13 and up.
Valve and HTC’s $800 VR headset surprisingly has no age warning, as various reports surfaced that the age limit requirement was due to a critical period in visual development. While this shouldn’t affect sales for parents willing to fork up four or five hundred dollars next holiday season, we’re curious if the dedicated game selection will feature strictly teen-rated or higher titles.
