The PSVR Needs 60 square feet in order to play

Before attentions shifts completely to The Tokyo Game Show this week, Sony rolled out some brief news over the weekend – regarding the required play area for its upcoming PlayStation VR device.

With all pre-orders sold out earlier this summer, the headset will require 60-square-feet to properly play. While gamers will be sitting down for most of their time with the headset (based on certain titles), some applications may require users to stand up for certain moments of their VR experience, as the previously mentioned requirement will be needed for safety measures.

If you have a small living room or are limited to space in a bedroom, take a look at the promotional pamphlet below which explains the 9.8’ of depth and 6.2’ of width needed for a play area.
