Sony Looking to Start Marvel Gaming Universe on PS5 after ‘Spider-Man’

Coming September 7th!

With Sony firing from all angles this year in every gaming department, some major news from Marvel Entertainment has recently surfaced. In a conversation with The Telegraph, Marvel Games executive creative director, Bill Roseman, went to teases an official gaming universe.

While all focus is on Spider-Man, he wants to make sure that game is flawless, before his development team starts thinking about expansions. We’re sure Sony is already pushing for the idea, with an open market void waiting to be filled (see: the film division 10 years ago).

He said, “There was. I mean, they tacked on that Nick Fury scene at the end of Iron Man, but did anyone think it would culminate in The Avengers? Or now Avengers Infinity War? That was a pipe dream. The first intention was, let’s just make the best Iron Man movie. We’re approaching it the same way. This is going to be hard enough. Let’s just make the best Spider-Man game.

Let’s do that. The rest will take care of itself. Who knows what the future holds? We just want to make sure each individual game is awesome, is great. Again, we don’t want to trap people and contain people. We want to give them freedom.” Let us know in the comments below if you’d like to see multiple Marvel Universe characters getting their own games for PlayStation 5 and beyond.
