This Tuesday, GamesCom 2013 will be held in Germany which will feature the biggest exhibitors in the gaming industry from the likes of Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, 2K Games, Microsoft, Square Enix, and Sony. With Take-Two Interactive opting not to bring Grand Theft Auto V to the show, the elephant in the room will be the release date announcements for the upcoming Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Back in June at e3, Sony revealed the official pricing for their upcoming console at $399, which was greeted with a heavily warm reception. The PlayStation 4 will launch $100 less than its competitor, the Xbox One, which Sony has positioned themselves to win the Holiday 2013. Microsoft went back and made a few adjustments to the console allowing used games, an included headset and modified hardware to compete with Sony; but some are thinking the damage may be already done.

The Xbox One has been announced for an November target, which we’re “assuming” it will release on November 5th to coincide Call of Duty: Ghosts. Stay tuned for the official PlayStation 4 release date reveal coming next week, along with announcements (price drops?) on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
