‘The Dave Chappelle Game’
Back in 2016, THQ launched the first Grand Theft Auto alternate video game, Saints Row. The title was surprisingly one of our favorite releases during the last generation cycle of consoles, including receiving a few sequels. Well, before the franchise went defunct, along with the former publisher; design director, Christopher Stockman was on YouTube this week to share a rare story.
In a conversation with Game Brain, he revealed that Saints Row was originally set to launch as The Dave Chappelle Game; which was in early development during the peek of his popular Comedy Central series. However, after one disagreement behind-the-scenes with that particular network, Chappelle left work behind and got his head clear from the craziness of America.
