Would you want Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter?

A few days ago, NetherRealm Studios creative director, Ed Boon, spoke with IGN on array of topics, including his upcoming title, Injustice 2. However, during the mist of his conversation with the video game platform, he spoke on the possibility of a Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter game.

Surprisingly, Boon is actually open to the idea, but would only entertain it if Capcom approached him for a possible crossover. He went to say, “There’s part of me that’s like, ‘That would be such a cool dream,’ and then there’’ another part of me that goes, ‘There’s no way would that satisfy everybody’.”

He even cited the Street Fighter x Tekken release earlier this decade worked, because of one of the two franchises sacrificing something. He ended saying that he would have to find a sweet spot, that catered to his original MK audience; but wouldn’t be sure if he could cater to the SF community.

We’re not writing this completely off, because both companies could possibly create the biggest fighting game in history, if egos and pride are put aside to create something presentable.
