Enjoy more titan and pilot action next month before the launch of WATCH_DOGS!
Microsoft’s first Killer-App title, Titanfall will be receiving its first official DLC add-on this next month. Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts were on hand this weekend for PAX East to make the official announcement for the new add-on. After weeks of polishing up the match-making, adding a private lobby and all other general online complaints, the online-based first person shooter will be receiving three maps: Runoff, Swamplands and Wargames.
This now adds onto the already 15 maps that came shipped with the title, expanding the game instantly for players who’ve grown tired with the game after only a month of action. While that hasn’t been the case for many of us here due to our multi-platform gaming sessions, we can understand why Xbox One consumers are impatient with the launch window lineup still being lacked by titles at the moment. The map pack will be available for $9.99 or or you can purchase the season pass for $24.99 to receive all future maps. Continue after the jump for more details on the game and stay tuned for an official gameplay reveal in the coming weeks.
OS REWIND: A “SXSW Night” with Titanfall
In the wake of the Battle of Demeter, IMC Expeditionary Forces travel deep into Frontier space to recover from their recent defeat. On an uncharted world, the IMC begin construction of a new fleet operations base, using newly acquired water collection and filtration plants to support the new base. When drainage operations reveal ancient ruins and artifacts of an unknown origin in a nearby swamp, Spyglass activates an archaeological team to investigate the site. To maintain battle readiness at the new base, IMC Pilots use simulation pods to train for anticipated Militia raids, based on lessons learned in Angel City and IMC Airbase Sierra.
Titanfall Expedition is the first of three new content packs with each pack available for $9.99. For fans looking to get all three content packs while saving a few bucks, the Titanfall Season Pass is the way to go. Available for a one-time price of $24.99*, the Titanfall Season Pass is available for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC and delivers all three content packs as soon as they become available.
