Back to the basics is this fall’s theme!
Last week, when Call of Duty revealed the official debut trailer for Infinite Warfare, the game received nearly a million thumbs down on YouTube – as fans of the series publicly became frustrated with the biggest third party release of the year showing no new innovations. This even prompted several members from E.A. D.I.C.E. to break character and publicly criticize the game.
While EA later issued apologies to Activision, the company formally announced the next installment of their first-person shooter series, Battlefield 1. With the franchise heading back to its original elements of World War I, even before the initial entry for Battlefield 1942, the new jaw-dropping trailer shows us why sticking to its roots couldn’t have a better decision to reboot the series.
Luckily, fans will have be able to beta test the game this summer, after registering as a Battlefield Insider for free on their official site. In the trailer above, get a glimpse at the all-out war you can expect, including a look at the epic multiplayer and adventure-filled campaign set for later this year.
Look for Battlefield 1 out this October 21, 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
