Andy Samberg may not be longer with Saturday Night Live anymore, but that doesn’t mean he still isn’t on one of TV’s funniest shows. Brooklyn Nine-Nine features Samberg playing the role of immature detective Jake Peralta, where he tries to gain respect from his new strict department Captain Ray Holt; who views Jake as his successor. Along with Melissa Fumero (Gossip Girl, also Jake’s love interest in the show) and Terry Crews co-starring alongside Andy; there’s tons of wacky comedy and situations for the mutli-camera directed new FOX series.
Speaking of which, the Super Bowl will be airing on FOX this February across the Hudson in New Jersey, with New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine airing new episodes after its completion. The shows been receiving raved reviews and has been one of the more standout shows this fall; but due to the World Series, it suffered mediocre ratings initially.
Airing immediately after the Super Bowl, hopefully that will give B.N.N. a new and much needed audience to extend its life cycle past next spring.
