Superheroes have returned to prime-time and it’s in the form of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ABC’s struck GOLD with the Joss Whedon-created series (co-writer of Marvel’s The Avengers) having one of the top 5 rated new series across television. With the Marvel brand at an all-time high in popularity amongst loyalist and newbies, the high ratings come as no surprise to us for the show.
Agent Coulson (Thor) has created the S.H.I.E.L.D. of agents to look into new cases every week, working together to contain superhuman individuals for public safety. While no major storyline has developed into its episodes thus far, we’re intrigued by the high level suspense, action and most of all super heroes being back on primetime to keep watching. The show’s already been picked up for a full-season if you were skeptical about diving into episodes on HULU Plus or DVR services; we expect a season renewal in the very near future.
