Coming 2020?
Earlier this year, Logan struck gold from 20th Century Fox, in the box offices and fan reception; becoming our personal favorite comic release of the year. Now, Logan director, James Mangold currently developing a script for a potential X-23 spin off movie.
Unfortunately, 20th Century Fox hasn’t given the project a greenlight, but Mangold is looking to land his next major gig after the success of rival DC’s Wonder Woman movie last summer.
James said to THR, “Patty’s success with that film only solidifies more for studios that there’s less to fear with a female protagonist. The more that keeps getting hit home, that ends up giving me more space turning around and going, ‘Well, here we are with a female protagonist. And what are we going to do with her?’ And that’s where we are with the Laura script right now, dreaming.”
With Hugh Jackman retired from the X-Men Universe, look for news to emerge on X-23 early 2018.
