50 Cent is currently wrapping up production for season five of his hit-series POWER; as Starz and Lionsgate has extended his overall deal through 2019. This new agreement ensures POWER will likely stick around until season seven, as well as having a proper budget for his Black Mafia Family series with Big Meech. In an interview with Deadline, 50 said, “Continuing my partnership with Starz and Lionsgate is important to me. I have a personal connection to each project I bring to them. I’m able to deliver shows that have unique stories that can be told on premium cable television.”
With the series becoming the most-watched show on premium networks behind Game of Thrones, we’re assuming Fifty has been given creative freedom and a blank check for additional episodes.
Look for details regarding BMF, Tomorrow Today and an untitled third series to be revealed in 2018.
