Imagine being on the edge of a tall skyscraper, looking down and getting ready to plummet to your death and all the sudden somebody interrupts your jump? That’s exactly what happened to Pierce Brosnan in A Long Way Down. But there’s a twist. He was one of four people who also wanted to kill themselves that night.
The movie follows Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Toni Collette and Brosnan’s characters on a journey where they all vow to stay alive until Valentine’s Day and end up becoming good friends in the process. Their suicide scandal also ends up becoming front page news and they have to go through the struggle of being in the limelight.
The Pascal Chaumeil-directed film (based on Nick Hornby’s book of the same name) will hit theaters in the UK on March 21.
