The first trailer for Andrea Arnold’s upcoming American Honey has been released today, which finds Shia LaBeouf and Sasha Lane at the heart of it.
The drama film is based on a teenage girl who joins a group of likeminded runaways on the road across America, selling magazine subscriptions in the Midwest. The lifestyle goes hand in hand with partying, breaking in the law and experiencing young love. She even hops in a convertible of older men just to make some cash.
American Honey is set for release this year via A24 and Focus Features. Co-stars include Riley Keough, Arielle Holmes, McCaul Lombardi and Chad Cox. Carnage’s “I Like Tuh” with ILOVEMAKONNEN and Raury’s “God’s Whisper” soundtrack the trailer.
