How Beyoncé’s VOGUE September Cover Issue Was Crafted

Anything that Beyoncé touches goes viral and is the greatest thing ever. This VOGUE cover is no different, except Queen Bey made history when she commissioned 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell for the cover shoot. With that, he became the first black photographer to shoot a cover in the 126 year history of the magazine.

If you were wondering how any of it went down, the magazine has released some behind the scenes footage of the shoot.

In the video, you can see Bey getting her hair braided, close-ups of her outfits, some cameos by Blue Ivy and the twins and her playful personality as she’s posing for pictures. Plus, the Curtis Mayfield soundtrack makes the cipher complete.
