Street racing scene in London is very popular amongst teenagers and the term Boy Racer speaks for itself. Being able to drive affordable cars in the dark of the night, where at sometimes is the only place to drive without getting into too much hassle with the law. Showing off your whip to the road at high speeds is a thrill, much as it is a dangerous threatening adventure for you and everyone on the highways.

VICE travels to the UK to learn more about these racers and how their hobby has affected them and those around them.

The camera goes behind the scenes of each side of the law to get both sides of the story of what learn what it’s like to have adrenaline run through you in your boost automobile (and chasing down drag racers to keep civilians safe). The spotlight was in North London with racers that had to go underground and mane their own little get together and keep the culture alive. Police officers are always looking for trouble makers, though. Not to spoil racing fun for a few, but to keep civilians safe, traveling next to these racers. You don’t want to end up smacked dabbed crushed in your car or have your life changed and end up in the junk yard as scrap metal.

As officers zoom through and down the pavement, the bass boosting from the sub woofers (like the Boy Racers are known to do) causes a lot of attention, fast. But even too much of anything quickly sends you to your deathbed. Not all races are deadly and law breaking. Summer festivals in London bring them together for more safe and organized fun with their cars. This goes to show you that not all racers are speed junkies as soon as they hit the pedal. Take a quick second to show you how living fast and furious can come at a huge price.
