Kristen Stewart heads to Guantanamo Bay. . .without Harold & Kumar in Camp X-Ray.
Leaving behind her role Bella Cullen romantic fantasy series Twilight, Kristen Stewart becomes an Army bad-ass in the upcoming film release Camp X-Ray. The independent drama focuses on the temporary detention facility and one of the worst camps in the world, known as Guantanamo Bay. Ms. Stewart assumes the role of Pvt. Amy Cole, who initially joins the military out of goodwill, but soon learns how the infamous detention camp operates and develops and unlikely friendship with one of the detainees.
The Peter Sattler directed-and-written movie was one of the standout releases at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, but will finally be seeing an official release in a few weeks.
