Chances are you probably watched one or both of Dave Chappelle‘s comedy specials that hit Netflix earlier this month. And that’s good news for the streaming service because they have been the biggest hits Netfli has had in that department. Dave Chappelle: Collection 1 was the most viewed ever for the platform, as was told to shareholders after a first quarter report.
Deep In The Heart of Texas and The Age of Spin were Chappelle’s return to stand-up in over a decade and he’s not finished yet. The third special is coming later this year and if we predict off the success of the first two, it might even top those.
Netflix paid a total of $60 million dollars for all three specials and we’re sure this successful relationship has just begun. Now, if we can only get a show out of him.
