At the top of the year, many were originally expecting this project to release in theaters. However, COVID-19 and a worldwide pandemic forced those plans to be delayed by almost an entire year. That was until Amazon Studios stepped in and paid a whopping $125 million for streaming and premiere rights.
Here, Eddie Murphy releases the official trailer, which sees him returning to his Prince Akeem moniker with side-kick, Semmi. After years in Zamuna, the pair must return to Queens, New York after 30 years gone from the states.
