Boyhood has seen rave reviews since its release, based on the fact it was filmed over a 12-year period. Ethan Hawke, who stars in the movie and other films from Richard Linklater that include the popular Before series, stopped by the Late Night With Seth Meyers show to discuss the new film.
The actor spoke on how he was approached for the idea and having patience to film scenes over a lengthy amount of time. There was no real script in the sense it was a focus on natural childhood, giving them a chance to accustom to gradual trends over the dozen years of production.
