We’ve been waiting for this new show on FX for a while and they’ve been teasing it through trailers. Now, the network finally releases the official trailer for Hip Hop Uncovered. The series is a six-part documentary about how America criminalized the genre and why the street culture created it and is still infused in every aspect.
The show will tell the story from the streets and how they helped shape the culture of America through survival and defiance to dominate the world.
Hip Hop Uncovered is executive produced by Malcolm Spellman, Jonathan Chinn, Simon Chinn, Rashidi Natara Harper, Eugene “Big U” Henley, Jimmy “JimBob” Chris, Douglas Banker, BJ Levin. Harper is also the director of the series.
It premieres February 12 on FX.
