HBO Explains Why ‘Westworld’ Season 3 is Coming No Time Soon

Is this. . .Now?

Last week, HBO aired one of the most epic season finales ever with Westworld. The previous season 2, was in follow-up to their original freshman year back in the fall of 2016. Well, it looks like fans may be waiting another 16 more months before we return back to open-world fantasy park.

Show creator Jonathan Nolan went to say, “We want the show to get bigger and bigger and more ambitious and this takes time. We want to take all the time we need to get it right.” At the moment, the Time Warner network isn’t expected to greenlight shooting again until next June.

This means there could be another two years before the series returns; which would push it back to spring 2020 – at the earliest. Considering Game of Thrones is using this same method, as HBO plans to air its final season in late 2019, we’re not mad at both series being perfected.

Let us know in the comments you’d rather wait two years for the next Westworld fix, or it’s too long.
