True Detective Season 3 in 2018?
Since season two of True Detective ended exactly a year ago, fans have been in limbo on the future of Nic Pizzolatto’s popular crime-drama series. While HBO opted to not produce a junior season this year, news has emerged for the future of the former phenomenon this weekend.
Yesterday, during The Television Critics Association, HBO head of programming Casey Bloys simply said, “It’s not dead.” Bloys also said, “I’m not sure we have the right take for a third season yet. We are hoping for a third season. It’s a very valuable franchise for us.”
At the moment, Pizzolatto, who has an overall deal with HBO, won’t be writing the script for season three; but will likely supervise to curate the next season. We just hope this all pans out better than its sophomore slump. Let us know in the comments if you want the series to continue.
