Infamous Former Mobster Sammy ‘The Bull’ Gravano Released from Prison Early

Free after serving nearly 20 years

This week, reports surfaced that infamous mobster and former member of the Gambino crime family, Sammy ‘The Bull’ Gravano, was released from prison. In the early ‘90s, Mr. Gravano was instrumental in bringing down New York Maifa legend John Gotti, after being persuaded by federal investigators – regarding his freedom at the time. However, 11 years later, he was busted in 2000 for a major ecstasy ring, which he made nearly half of $1 million a week.

In 2002, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, but was given a three-year early release on Monday morning. On terms of his freedom from The Arizona Department of Corrections, he will reportedly be on lifetime federal parole, as he’s since taken himself from the U.S. federal Witness Protection Program. Take a look below at a documentary on the life of Sammy the Bull.
