Jennifer Lawrence for Vanity Fair (November 2014)

The Internet might have digested, moved on to another scandalous story and maybe even forgotten about the celebrity nude leaks by now, but Jennifer Lawrence is still thinking about it. Maybe not as much as when it was making headlines, but it still affects her. After being silent throughout this whole ordeal, The Hunger Games actress is finally speaking out about the stolen photos that surfaced online at the end of August.

In the November issue of Vanity Fair, Lawrence clears the air about how she felt during that time, especially when she had to break the news to her dad. She called these hacks “sexual crimes” and urged for laws to be passed so the victims of these leaks have some justice. According to Jennifer, even some of the people close to her viewed the pics, making her feel even more shamed.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.

I’m not crying about it anymore. I can’t be angry anymore. I can’t have my happiness rest on these people being caught, because they might not be. I need to just find my own peace.”

She’ll be talking about this and much more in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, hitting newsstands in Los Angeles and New York on October 9. Read more over at their website.

UPDATE: JLaw reveals what she wants out of a boyfriend (couch potatoes who love to eat, you have a chance!)

“I don’t like fighting, and I find argumentative people the most annoying people on the planet. Like, why do you still want to be fighting? It’s just unattractive. We should both just move on and watch TV. Basically, what I’m saying is all I need in a relationship is somebody to watch TV with me.”
