John Legend Calls Kanye West’s Meeting with President Trump a “Publicity Stunt”

“I’m disappointed,” – John Legend

Yesterday, Kanye West shocked many, when he officially met with President Trump in New York City. The meeting was rumored to be centered around a possible ambassador position in the Trump administration, which the Donald is reportedly approving of the potential idea.

While receiving backlash from fans and peers around the world, he took to social media and justified his actions, saying he feels it’s important to have a direct line of communication to Trump if we truly want change. He soon, closed out the brief social media appearance, with the hashtag – #2024.

His fellow G.O.O.D. Music partner, John Legend, wasn’t a fan of yesterday’s visit either and is the first person to publicly criticize Yeezy on video. In an interview with French outlet Clique, he went to explain how he was disappointed with West and said, “I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to Trump about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.”
