Dr. West is in the building!
Kanye West has inspired a legion of artists throughout his career and spawned plenty of mini-me’s in rap, but now he’s headed in a different direction. He’s using the tools he learned in fashion to inspire a whole generation of students who want to become designers themselves.
In a motivation speech in front of kids at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Kanye talked about how hard it was for him to get in the game and why he did it in the first place, telling the students in the crowd that he just wants them to hone in on their craft. He had the opportunity to learn from the best, and although he is not a master yet, he still wants to strive to be better. All in all, Yeezy just wants the next generation to learn from him and achieve their goals, much like he did.
