It is undoubtedly #YEEZYSEASON. Kanye West has had himself a pretty eventful week, from the 57th Annual Grammy Awards stage, not once but twice and almost a third, to unveiling his new Yeezy 750 Boost shoe and hitting the stage at last evening’s “Roc City Classic” concert. Aside from that list of things, ‘Ye also debuted his entire Adidas collection last night at day two of New York Fashion Week.
After presenting his line that featured distressed crewnecks, slouchy jersey pants, utilitarian details, and sneakers, the MTV News style team caught up with Kanye backstage where they got him to speak out about his relationship with Adidas and getting their full support on the collaboration.
He also explained that while working with the company he’s been able to learn new ways to present his ideas more formally, as well as detailing his thought process of what would inspire him if he were his 14-year-old self and going to high school with a mix of what he knows and likes as an adult. That is of course, seeing his wife clad in pantyhose and a sports bra while heading out to the gym.
Kanye also explained how he’s been surrounding himself with people with higher taste levels, in order to present something tasteful to the people, and the importance of beauty in his vision to change the world.
