Katy Perry‘s big day at Super Bowl Halftime Show is only days away and with the excitement comes nervousness. As she tells ESPN the Magazine in their Music Issue alongside defensive monster J.J. Watt, she’s never played on a stage this big before.
For their story, they talk about all the hard work they put in to make it this far in their careers. Both coming from different backgrounds and walks of life, they strived towards one goal and made it happen. Now, Katy Perry goes on World Tours doing what she loves and Watt takes the field as a part of the Houston Texans to demolish opposing offensive lines.
It’s funny, though. Katy didn’t even know who he was prior to the shoot. She Google’d him and saw the picture of his bloody face and showed her friends.
