‘Knight of Cups’ Coming Soon
Never one to show his face, the elusive Terrence Malick has released a long-awaited trailer for his upcoming film, Knight of Cups. It follows on from The Tree of Life in 2011 and To The Wonder in 2012.
Like much of the director’s work, it’s hard to point out the exact plot, but we do know it’s based around celebrities and excess. The new trailer, caught up in the lavish lifestyle of Los Angeles, explores the ongoing sexual tension and trauma. It looks like another whirlwind of dazzling imagery from Terrence and cinematographer, Emmanuel Lubezki, with a star cast that includes Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Imogen Poots and Jason Clarke.
Despite no release date yet, the movie will premiere in Berlin this February.
