Golden Globe Award-winner, Lena Dunham will be making her official debut at NBC’s Saturday Night Live next month, hosting the show on March 8. Joining her as the musical guest for the March 8th episode will be Indie-rock band The National, who will be performing hits from their most recent album, Trouble Will Find Me. While the GIRLS creator currently prepares filming for season four later this year, she will be taking a brief writing break to invade the 30 Rockefeller Studios in mid-town.
Before Lena’s episode, SNL returns this Saturday after a month long break due to the Winter Olympics, as Colin Jost will succeed Seth Meyers as head writer and co-anchor of Weekend Update, joining our girl Cecily Strong. Look for SNL this Saturday with Jim Parsons of CBS’s popular series, The Big Bang Theory making his hosting debut, along with musical guest Beck.
