Standout Tribeca Fest Film is seeing a holiday 2014 release
Last spring, Magnolia Pictures shared the premier for one of their upcoming winter releases this year at the Tribeca Film Festival. Life Partners received spotlight section honors at the fest, also serving as the company’s latest comedy-drama film. With an overwhelming positive response from those on hand to watch the premiere, a winter 2014 release was imminent for fans of Susanna Fogel’s directorial debut.
The movie centers on best friends in their late 20s, you’re familiar with in the likes of Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Community’s Gillian Jacobs. Meester assumes the role of lesbian slacker Sasha, who’s made a pact with Paige (Jacobs) of not getting married until same-sex partners have the equal right. Their agreement and most all friendship is strained when Paige meets a charming doctor by the name of Tim, which they see less and less of each other. The goal is to incorporate Tim into their friendship, so they can remain partners for life.
Look for Life Partners on iTunes this November 6th and in theaters nationwide on December 5th.
