After months of rumors swirling, Brie Larson has finally been confirmed to star as Captain Marvel next year. Following the film’s first announcement two years, names floating around the project were among the likes of Ronda Rousey, Olivia Wilde and Rebecca Ferguson to name a name a few.
However, Marvel Studios made it official at their San Diego Comic-Con panel, including a first logo reveal pictured above. Larson, who won an OSCAR this year for her role in the beloved drama Room, is rumored to make her first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War.
Look for a potential teaser at next year’s SDCC before the film releases July 6, 2018.
