Coming 2023 likely. . .
With the Marvel Cinematic Universe, set to see drastic changes, one of the projects we’re intrigued about is the Mahershala Ali-starred film, Blade. The upcoming reboot, is set to be part of a future MCU, and was originally set to begin filming this September. Unfortunately, the project is now delayed until July 2022, as Marvel is looking to continue time on their penned script.
The film, which is officially titled Marvel’s Blade, The Vampire Slayer will not have an R-rating like previous installment of the franchise. Kevin Feige confirmed that Deadpool 3 will be Marvel’s only R-rated film, that’s currently in development. Mahershala Ali said, “I love that it’s darker. That’s all-in terms of tone. He’s a little bit darker than some of the other ones and so that element was attractive to me.”
Look for details to emerge late year in 2022, including a possible theatrical release date.
