Matthew McConaughey Talks About His First Job

Killing Armadillos

Before his movie career and success on such shows like HBO‘s True Detective, Matthew McConaughey was just a regular guy like you and me, living in Texas. In his younger days, he found a job working at the Oak Forest Country Club in Texas, where he was hired to rake the sand traps. He started his day at 3am and worked until the first person stepped foot in the green.

The best part of all was the year they got bombarded with armadillos. Matt was asked to shoot a .22 and kill them all throughout the night for 2 weeks straight. He says that was his favorite part. We can’t blame him either, that sounds like fun.
