Michael Bolton Sings To the IRS on Last Week Tonight

Can you still hate the IRS after this video?

Not a week goes by where we don’t watch Last Week Tonight, but the last episode had us absolutely rolling. As most of you may know, in two days on April 15, your taxes are due. For those who get money back, you probably already filed and have been enjoying and spent the check already. For everyone that has to pay, you’re probably waiting until crunch time to file.

If you’re flipping your middle fingers for taxes, John Oliver argues that it’s not their fault for you owing, it’s actually the government. The IRS is merely the middle man in the equation and the one that takes the fall for Congress’ laws.

Hilariously, he compared it to having an anus.

Even more comedy, he got Michael Bolton to sing an IRS rendition of “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You,” switching up the lyrics to dedicate it to the United States most hated agency. Even with all the government cuts, long lines and what the workers go through to receive your tax money, Michael digs deep and asks how we’ll make it alive without them. The John Oliver adlibs in the background were the funniest, though.

Watch the clip from the HBO show above if you missed it when it aired last night.
