Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Amy Poehler star in arguably the best comedy film you will see this month, Are You Here. While the film hasn’t seen a bigger promotional rollout leading up to its release, fans of the three actors have been paying attention to this release since the Toronto International Film Festival premiere nearly a year ago.
Over 2 years after its filming, Are You here finally sees its theatrical release, as the storyline centers on two childhood best friends that embark on a cross-country road trip. Popular local weatherman among the women, Steve Dallas (Wilson) joins his friend Ben Baker (Galifianakis) to travel back to his childhood home after his estranged father recently passes away and finds out he’s inherited a family fortune.
While the plot seems cliché without ruining too much of the storyline, there’s enough comedic value to make your 90+minute experience worth the trip.
