Take Care
Longtime director, producer and screenwriter Liz Tuccillo (Sex and the City, He’s Just Not That Into You, etc.) provides yet another romantic-comedy and drama film this weekend. With a select theatrical release tonight, Take Care will also be arriving to video-on-demand. The new film centers on a young woman by the name of Frannie (Leslie Bibb), who’s unfortunately been struck by a car and temporarily becomes paralyzed.
Upon returning home with limited mobility, her friends are nowhere to be found and don’t want to take care of her. An unlikely acquaintance Devon (Thomas Sadoski) soon helps with her with serious needs of handling daily activities, which to no surprise becomes a romantic relationship. Surprisingly, the NYC-based rom-com has seen mediocre reviews; but that could be in due part to the influx of that genre overcrowded this weekend. If you don’t have time to sit through the 90-minute picture, there’s always video-on-demand after Sunday action.
