Welcome to mid-way point of May new releases for 2015!
Last weekend, Hot Pursuit starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara, performed moderately at the theaters, garnering only $19 million in total worldwide revenue. With Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron finishing with $78 million for its second consecutive week as the no. 1 film in the world (passing $1 billion in total revenue), we’re granted another diverse selection of new releases this weekend. With the exception of one obvious blockbuster making a splash to theaters, we’re skeptical if it’ll be able to overtake Marvel’s biggest spring release.
