Where Hope Grows
With a cast consisting in the likes of Danica McKellar, Kerr Smith, Brooke Burns, William Zabka, Kristoffer Polaha and McKaley Miller – we’re not sure why Where Hope Grows isn’t getting much attention this weekend. Originally premiered last year at the Dallas International Film Festival, the new drama film written and directed by Chris Dowling focuses on a former professional baseball player, Calvin Campbell, whose career was unfortunately shortened due to personal problems. Now living in a small town, Calvin encounters an unlikely friendship in a man with down syndrome at a local grocery store, Produce. The two soon experience the world through each other’s eyes and learn how their tragedies don’t make themselves so much different.
