Tomorrowland
Afer dumping $190 million into its science fiction mystery adventure film Tomorrowland: A World Beyond, Walt Disney Pictures is looking to open with a minimal of $50 million in box office revenue. Directed, written, screen played, and produced by Brad Bird, the new motion pictures stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Thomas Robinson, Kathryn Hahn, Tim McGraw, Keegan-Michael Key, and Judy Greer.
While you take time to consume all of those A-list names from Hollywood, Tomorrowland focuses on a grizzled inventor (Frank Walter), who travels in time and space with a teenage boy of great scientific knowledge to an unknown place (see: the film’s title) and look to unearth secrets that have been swirling around the location.
Bound by shared destiny, the two unearth secrets of the place that very few know about, which their actions in the location can affect those around the world and themselves. Whether the two can figure out how to balance time and space remains to be seen, but this is an absolute must watch film this weekend from Disney.
