V/H/S: Viral
Late to the October spooky wave, is the mid-November new release of V/H/S: Viral. Although it was released through video-on-demand a few weeks ago before Halloween, the masses finally get a chance to see it for an official theatrical release this weekend and beyond. The anthology horror film focuses on fame-obsessed teens, who are victim to a deranged illusionist that has powers past the normal world.
Determined to become the next internet sensation, the collective of youths become targets of a parallel world controlled by five different factions that are looking to unfortunately bring them death. This release has been seen mixed reviews thus far, but this is unfortunately the only movie releasing this weekend aside of the elephant at the box offices. Many movie goers will be unable to avoid seeing promotions for this project in the new release category, which could see an over-achieving opening weekend with people home for Thanksgiving break.
