Movies To Watch This Weekend (November 7)

Big Hero 6

Take a break from the seriousness of action-adventure and romantic-comedies to relax with Walt Disney Animation Studios’ long-awaited D computer-animated superhero-comedy film, Big Hero 6. If you’re curious if this has any relation to the historic Marvel Comics superhero team, you are correct. Originally premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival, stateside fans will finally get their hands on the film Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans, Jr.Génesis Rodríguez, T. J. Miller, Daniel Henney and our girl Maya Rudolph. The film centers on fictional futuristic hybrid metropolis San Fransokyo (or San Francisco and Tokyo – clever may we add) and features a Baymax, the plus-sized robot and a prodigy you’ll fall in love with Hiro Hamada.

After the pair develops an un-separable bond, the two soon form a collective of high-tech heroes that must solve crimes plotted by a masked super-villain, Yokai. While you take in all of the craziness you’ve just read, the final output of hilarity will be one film we’re most definitely checking out this holiday season.
