Open Windows
Halloween may be over, but action-thrillers are still alive in the month of November, starting with Open Windows. The previous SXSW standout release earlier this year, stars Elijah Wood, Sasha Grey and Neil Maskell and finally makes its release to theaters. After receiving great reviews in March, the original Spanish-thriller film center on an ordinary man Nick Chambers, who’s won a date with his favorite star Jill Goddard (Grey).
After not honoring the date contest, Nick’s previous overwhelming excitement ends but soon finds intrigue when he’s allowed to spy on Jill instantly via computer. Following originally thinking he would enjoy a simple experience on seeing his favorite actress, things soon put the two at serious dangers for an unfortunate game of cat-and-mouse. While this film may not have seen proper promotions to the masses, the familiar cast alone should have many giving it a second glance.
