St. Vincent
We’re not calling Bill Murray this fourth quarter, but the legendary Ghostbuster returns to the big screen for Theodore Melfi’s feature debut film, St. Vincent. Starring alongside Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, and Naomi Watts, the new comedy-drama release is fresh from the heels of finishing as runner up to people’s choice winner of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. Two weeks ago, the motion picture saw a limited release but will be releasing nationwide and across several countries tonight.
Without ruining too much of the film, Maggie (McCarthy) is forced to work long hours as a single mother and is in desperate need of a trustworthy home sitter. Unfortunately the man next door who she’s just met Vincent (Murray) and soon takes her son on a journey when she’s not around. From strippers to gambling and even drinking, Vincent fast tracks Oliver’s youth when mom’s away.
