Laggies
Previously known as Say When, former United Kingdom romantic comedy film Laggies finally sees its stateside release. Much like previous efforts detailed, this is another standout release that premiered last January at the Sundance Film Festival. The new motion picture stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Keira Knightley, Ellie Kemper and Sam Rockwell among others and focusses on a young 28-year-old woman Megan, who has a quarter-life crises when her boyfriend proposes (sounds about right). After escaping her hometown for a week, she soon crosses paths with a 16-year-old girl Annika (Moretz) and begins to hideout to escape reality. In the process of having one of her more exciting retreats, she soon falls for Anna’s single father Craig. In the midst of many horror and action releases coming this week, Laggies provides the epitome of a romantic-comedy for fall movie goers.
