Gone Girl
The most talked about movie this weekend by far has been Gone Girl. The upcoming mystery-thriller and drama title, stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon. While the cast of characters alone should have movie goers gravitating towards this release, a compelling storyline unlike its competition and previous films seen over the last few months.
Two years ago, popular writer Gillian Flynn released the original novel, which saw an immediate and obvious film adaption. Its $50 million budget has already set expectations very high for an opening week, with the story focusing on man becoming the focal attention of media following the mysterious disappearance of his wife. He’s reluctant to be in the spotlight, but soon has to convince those in the public that he’s innocent within an intense media circus.
