The Equalizer
Denzel Washington finally returns to the big screen following last year’s affair with Mark Walhberg in 2 Guns, for his upcoming action thriller The Equalizer. Co-starring 17-year-old Chloë Grace Moretz, we’re certain no film is generating the buzz and hype this film has seen during its promotional campaign in recent weeks, with a notable cast of familiar faces – but also an intriguing storyline.
Denzel assumes the role former black ops and middle-aged retired Special Forces officer, Robert McCall. After having to leave behind a sticky past, even faking his death to hide in Boston for a few years, he finds himself coming out of retirement to come to the rescue of a young girl being held captive by Russian gangsters. In the midst of completing initially one more mission, McCall comes to the realization of how much he misses finding justice for those who have their backs against the wall and are in need of a special enforcer – or better yet, an EQUALIZER.
Given its $55 million budget and even our guy Dan Bilzerian making an appearance in the film, we’re sure Columbia Pictures is hoping they have a box office hit on their hands this weekend.
