True Story
Since its premiere last winter at the Sundance Film Festival, we’ve been patiently waiting for the release of Rupert Goold’s diamond in the rough film, True Story. Starring Jonah Hill, James Franco, Felicity Jones, Gretchen Mol, Betty Gilpin, and John Sharian, the new project focuses on an accused killer by the name of Christian Longo (James Franco), who’s stolen the identity of a disgruntled New York journalist, Michael Finkel (Jonah Hill).
When the two finally meet, the real Finkle is out to figure out why his identity has been stolen, which leads to a unlikely game of cat-and-mouse. Whether or not the masses know about this limited promoted film remains to be seen, but the previously mentioned familiar cast will be enough to generated attention to the highest rated new film hitting theaters this weekend.
